What's your photography style ?My style is natural and raw, I focus on documenting the true essence of the moment, being creative is what I strive for. Blending into the background, you will often see me peering behind objects, seeking out genuine emotions and interactions of every tear, laughter and those intimate moments that tell the real love story you want to remember forever. I like to create a mixture of candid and posed photographs - there are certainly times when I will gracefully guide you into a pose to capture your connection to create a beautiful scene that evokes emotion, capturing the love and feelings that in years to come can transport you back to your special day, and feel the joy and love you experienced.

Do you have backup files?Yes! The last thing I want is to lose your photos, so I have the 3-2-1 backup rule method in place. I always shoot with two memory cards in my camera body in every photo session I do, so from the moment I start your photos are covered. Once returning from a shoot I immediately upload photos onto my computer where they are backed up to cloud service OneDrive, which is automatically synchronised to my offsite storage and transferred to my Amazon Prime unlimited photo storage. Photos are then uploaded to a secondary external hard drive, ensuring all precautions are in-place and they are stored securely.

I don't know what to wear?Deciding what to wear can be daunting. Think about the location of the shoot, and the surroundings - natural, earthy tones are a classic like beige. Olive and soft browns work well with natural, soft lighting that evokes a dreamy authentic look. Pastels like soft pinks blues and lavender are colours that are light and airy. For a more dramatic look, emerald green, sapphire blue and burgundy are rich shades which bring elegance and guide the viewer's gaze. Monochrome look - wearing different shades of the same look create a sleek, sophisticated style that photographs beautifully, creates a sense of timelessness and unity. Keeping the colours consistent makes a family portrait feel more cohesive. Avoid neon and busy patterns - overly bright tones can be distracting, while patterns can clash with your surroundings.

What if it rains? For Portraits: on location, please reach out to me, I totally understand your concerns. I'm always checking the weather forecast as it can be very unpredictable and sometimes they do get it wrong. I like to observe the weather conditions on the day to make the final decision, as not everyone likes getting wet. I am happy to reschedule to another available date that we are both happy with. For Weddings: I will seek out any areas outside that have good coverage - it is always a great idea to buy or rent out clear umbrellas for your day. I am happy to embrace the weather as you can create some stunning images in the rain. If that's not your thing I can hunt out some sweet spots indoors.

What lenses do you use? Most of my photographs are captured with my Canon 24-70mm F2.8L USM. I do have a sweet spot for my Canon 70-200mm F2.8L USM. I also have the Canon Nifty-Fifty which is great for some portraits and capturing those small, detailed images.

How long will it take to receive my photographs after the wedding?I aim to deliver your complete gallery in around 6 weeks, with a few sneak peeks typically within 72 hours after the wedding on my socials.

I don't like having my photograph taken?I totally get it! My goal isn't just to take a photo but to make you feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera, capture your natural essence, and not force you in to stiff poses. I hear it a lot! But if I just take a few photos you will realise it's not as bad as you think. Lets just have fun with it, and just think of me as a friend with a camera!

Should you bring your pets to the photo session?Yes, certainly! Our pets are a huge part of our family, involving your pets in a photo session can be a great idea! They can act as a distraction, especially if you are feeling a little apprehensive about having your photographs taken. They add warmth and authenticity to a portrait and help capture a bond between people and their animals. It's a wonderful way to help preserve memories of your pets. If you are confident that they will enjoy it and be safe then I'm more than happy to involve your furry friends in the photo session.
